Meladdin

We found Meladdin in Lake Havasu AZ. through an ad that read ( Exotic Stud Colt with excellent breeding for sale ). When we arrived to find this finely sculpted, pretty faced colt I had to wonder if this little guy could actually run the mountains like I wanted? You see I was looking for a good looking stallion, for foundation breeding purposes, but he had to be able to run the mountains in the area. Meladdin was pretty enough, but could this typey young colt carry me through the rugged terrain?

Well we could not have gotten a better horse for the job! Meladdin excels through the mountains better than any horse that we have. He really loves it too! The more you run him the more he wants to run. A couple years ago he was playing in the pasture with the dogs after a rain storm. He took a strong turn, twisted his ankle and broke his knee. The vet said he could probably still breed, but the mountains and any other type of competitive riding was out. We put a cast on the knee for six months with a.s.b pipe. He broke three single pipe castings and one double pipe casting , but we got it to heal well enough to hang out in the pasture. Six more months later he was back on the mountains! Meladdin's still our best mountain horse.

Yes, we showed Meladdin a couple times . He took second at the All Arabian Horse Society show and fourth place at the Fall Festival & Futuristic show of 1995 in halter. But he and I both agree that the mountains are a hole lot better. So if your looking for a stallion that's real good looking, but really likes running through the mountains then Meladdin's your man!
